Harbie

This guy stands guard at an RV park on Harbor Blvd. in Garden Grove, CA pretty near to Disneyland next to the Target I think of as the Disneyland Target. I've always wondered what creature he was - a beaver gone aquatic, tadpole with buck teeth and arms?

When I looked at this picture I saw a name on his base - Harbie! Turns out this was the mascot of Harbor Gas a local gas station chain and there are some other Harbies still around.

The RV Park is interesting too. You have to park in the rear, but you can stay all night:

Senator Edward M. Kennedy is dead - Local News Updates - The Boston Globe

He never represented the 8th like his brother and grandfather but he served the whole country. Let's work on getting health care for all in his memory.

Senator Edward M. Kennedy is dead - Local News Updates - The Boston Globe: "Teddy,' as he was known to intimates, constituents, and even his fiercest enemies, was a unwavering symbol"

This is not news!

No teens are text messaging like mad and don't need Twitter to assist them . Ask any parent who had hit the roof when seeing their teen's cell phone bill.

Ummm!! You already can do this!

I always like to see good coverage of libraries in the media. This one isn't bad but does show a lack of knowledge on how libraries are already using technology. Many libraries already offer downloading e-books and the service is not limited to a single e-book reader.
